Job Description Summary
Drive supplied part quality through quality assurance and supplier development actions. Coordinate supplier activities throughout part lifecycle from supplier qualification and part qualification and acceptance, through manufacturing release and lifecycle product monitoring phases utilizing supplier scorecards. Maintain and promote a culture of quality with a focus on compliance and continuous improvement. Leverage in-depth understanding of key business drivers and manufacturing/supply chain operations to accomplish individual and team work to meet business needs.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development activities including supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence across a diverse supply base. The role is expected to work towards qualified auditor status for support of supplier assessment activities.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Use prior experience and acquired expertise to execute policy/strategy to develop technical competency and ability to manage vendors.
  • Strong ability to serve as individual contributor in addition to supporting cross-functional team dynamics within respective discipline. Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external colleagues to coordinate services rendered.
  • Coordinates projects, processes, and procedures for respective discipline within the GEHC Quality Management System requirements. The role requires the capability to work complex technical problems with ability to communicate complex information to others in a straightforward manner, as well as balance workload and prioritize based on customer need.
  • Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. Identifies limited areas of knowledge and coordinates with subject matter experts to achieve business outcomes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline (or non-technical degree with 5 years
    of experience in manufacturing, engineering, design, quality assurance or an Associate's
    Degree with 7 years of manufacturing, engineering or quality assurance experience).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet development and analysis.
  • Effective problem solving, root-cause analytical skills to lead and influence others to drive change (cross-functionally and globally).
Desired Characteristics
  • Prior experience within medical device manufacturing is recommended with emphasis on supply chain operations and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis tools and methodologies (CAPA, Lean, Ishikawa, etc…)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Established project management skills (ability to define, document, plan, execute, and monitor)
