Attached are two birds. Open the image and study them closely......... See if you can spot which of the two is the female. You will be amazed. It can be done, even by one with limited bird watching skills.

View Full Version : Which bird is the female bird? Al Rosen 25th January 2005, 03:48 PM Attached are two birds. Open the image and study them closely......... See if you can spot which of the two is the female. You will be amazed. It can be done, even by one with limited bird watching skills. Carl Keller 25th January 2005, 03:53 PM Based on countless observations during the Christmas shopping season, I can absolutely state the one on the right is the female. Carl- BTW- The one on the left is looking at another female bird. Wes Bucey 25th January 2005, 04:08 PM That was my vote - reason had to do with clearing snow [and every other household chore]!:lmao: Cari Spears 25th January 2005, 04:27 PM BTW- The one on the left is looking at another female bird. :lmao: Good one! Maybe that's why the one on the right is squawking! RCBeyette 27th January 2005, 05:52 PM Ahhh...I admit to voting for the birdie on the left based on several "logical" assumptions/thoughts: He's explaining the latest sports results and she's just spotted a pink bag of birdseed; He wants to know why supper isn't ready...again The birdie on the left is obviously experienced at tuning out loud noises He blathering on about something inane while she's busy keeping an eye on the nest and its occupants and/or making sure supper isn't boiling over She's organizing all she has to do the next day - dentist appointments, soccer games, bake sales - while he's chattering on about credit card bills, etc. Wes Bucey 27th January 2005, 06:06 PM Ahhh...I admit to voting for the birdie on the left based on several "logical" assumptions/thoughts: He's explaining the latest sports results and she's just spotted a pink bag of birdseed; He wants to know why supper isn't ready...again The birdie on the left is obviously experienced at tuning out loud noises He blathering on about something inane while she's busy keeping an eye on the nest and its occupants and/or making sure supper isn't boiling over She's organizing all she has to do the next day - dentist appointments, soccer games, bake sales - while he's chattering on about credit card bills, etc. Yep! Makes as much sense as any other POV. What does a smart female bird make for supper? Reservations!:D Al Rosen 27th January 2005, 06:10 PM Yep! Makes as much sense as any other POV. What does a smart female bird make for supper? Reservations!:DWes, I've heard that one framed somewhat differently.http://elsmar.com/Forums/images/smilies/wink.gif Wes Bucey 27th January 2005, 06:17 PM Wes, I've heard that one framed somewhat differently.http://elsmar.com/Forums/images/smilies/wink.gif Right! My jokes are so old, Henny Youngman and Milton Berle stole from ME! Sadly, I've had to retire a great number due to "political correctness" - even I am embarrassed by some of them, now. Al Rosen 27th January 2005, 09:49 PM Sadly, I've had to retire a great number due to "political correctness"I've never been accused of that.http://elsmar.com/Forums/images/smilies/lmao.gif amanbhai 9th June 2005, 01:08 PM I beleive that the bird on the right is female. GoKats78 13th June 2005, 04:15 PM Birds aren' the only ones! jmp4429 13th June 2005, 05:54 PM Birds aren' the only ones! I'm sure he had it coming. :lmao: tazng00se 15th June 2005, 06:45 PM Judging from what happens when I'm at the beach with my wife -- that's the pose she's in most of the time...yelling at me. "Stop ogling, stop staring, etc." You get the point  And then she starts pointing girls out to me and asking all of those "leading" questions. I do luv her though. SteelMaiden 23rd September 2005, 12:43 PM the bird on the right is male. "where's my dinner?" where's my shoes?" "what did you do with my underwear?" "bring me a beer", Where's that remote?" Where's my dinner?" "did you do laundry yet?"....... Rob Nix 23rd September 2005, 02:58 PM Steel, That can't be because the bird on the left isn't rolling her eyes. My gal has that down to an art form. jcahuya 24th September 2005, 01:33 AM it's obvious that the bird on the right is female... it's shows that it's keep talking or bragging i should say... :bonk: SteelMaiden 26th September 2005, 09:53 AM Steel, That can't be because the bird on the left isn't rolling her eyes. My gal has that down to an art form. Ah, Man! Rob, you are absolutely right. I was just too quick to see what looked like the obvious. I shouldn't do that, I'm a trained, qualified, and "competent" auditor!:lmao: Claes Gefvenberg 17th April 2006, 05:53 PM What utter tosh... Anybody can see that they are both female: The one to the left is checking out a potential boyfriend, while ignoring the advice given to her by her mother. The one to the right (mum) is telling her daughter that he is not good enough for her. Simple really... :D /Claes BradM 15th August 2008, 06:56 PM Hmmm... interesting question. What about this one? http://www.conquestministries.com/dancechapel/MarriageInNature.jpg Jim Wynne 15th August 2008, 09:11 PM Hmmm... interesting question. What about this one? http://www.conquestministries.com/dancechapel/MarriageInNature.jpg Neither one of them is a female bird. :tg: harry 15th August 2008, 09:58 PM It depends, if it's before marriage, the one on the left is female if it's after marriage, the one on the right is female If both are yakking at the same time, it is a number of years after marriage and you cannot tell which is male or female. BradM 15th August 2008, 11:53 PM Neither one of them is a female bird. :tg: :lmao: I don't know.... them genetics is fantastic! Those scientist workin for the government can do all sorts of things!! It depends, if it's before marriage, the one on the left is female if it's after marriage, the one on the right is female If both are yakking at the same time, it is a number of years after marriage and you cannot tell which is male or female. :lmao::lmao: I don't know, Harry. Being around a couple married for 50 years or more, it drives me nuts because they hardly talk, yet know what each other is thinking. I'd be sitting around my grandparents house (both gone now) and Pa would just head to the shop. What are you doing, Pa? Your Granny is mad at me. I was sitting there wondering where it came from, as I did not hear a word spoken. somerqc 19th August 2008, 03:05 PM Brad, It doesn't take 50 years. I am married for 5 yrs this year and know EXACTLY when the better half (yes, I am well into my training) is upset with me. Here's a clue - if she is upset and the only person she is not talking to is you...guess who is in the doghouse???!!! That is the reason men prefer bigger dogs - bigger houses to hide in! John Coury Ferguson 19th August 2008, 05:51 PM In the Bird species the male gender has the most color. Therefore, my conclusion that both are of the female gender. raju8177 20th August 2008, 12:55 PM I have voted the right as female. As the right is getting shouted on the left one continuously ( as photo says) Jcowan 20th November 2008, 01:02 PM Well normally when you sex a bird you haft to turn it on its back and blow the feathers away.... AndyN 21st November 2008, 09:33 AM I saw these two birds on 'Dr. Phil' - the one doing the squawking is actually a guy, he's been accused of being verbally abusive and the female bird wrote to Dr Phil for help! Apparently, they have a couple of kids, who haven't left the nest yet, and she says that things were ok in the beginning - although during courtship he did bite her neck once or twice, but she'd seen other gulls do it so it didn't bother her. Now she claims, he frequently leaves the nest and doesn't return for a long time - he claims he's out scavenging for food. Recently he's come home and been screaming at her (like the picture shows). He says it's because she only serves fish to the kids and that they need more in their diet to grow strong and healthy. He says the nest is a mess too, and all she does is sit around in the nest all day preening herself....... I think it's repeated on Dr. Phil tonite (and every other night........:bonk:) palmer 26th November 2008, 09:44 AM let's make it really interesting. Which bird is the female in the picture attached?:lmao: BradM 26th November 2008, 01:16 PM let's make it really interesting. Which bird is the female in the picture attached?:lmao: Palmer, actually they are both male birds. The one on the right, is the Wing-Man! |
