I found this kind of interesting and thought I would share it.

To all who find themselves judging a book by its cover.

Enjoy.

TWO TOUGH QUESTIONS

Question 1:

If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?

Read the next question before looking at the answer for this one.

Question 2:

It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts. Here are the facts about the three leading candidates.

Candidate A -

Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists.
He's had two Mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B -

He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate C -

He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates would be your Choice?

Decide first, no peeking, then scroll down for the answer.

----------------------------------------------

Candidate A: is Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Candidate B: is Winston Churchill.
Candidate C: is Adolph Hitler.

And, by the way, the answer to the abortion question: If you said yes, you just killed Beethoven.

Pretty interesting isn't it? Makes a person think before judging som! eone.

Never be afraid to try something new.
Remember:

Amateurs built the Ark

Professionals built the Titanic

and in case you never saw this one..! ....

Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500 employees and has the following statistics:

* 29 have been accused of spousal abuse
* 7 have been arrested for fraud
* 19 have been accused of writing bad checks
* 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
* 3 have done time for assault
* 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
* 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
* 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
* 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
* 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this is?

Give up yet?

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group of idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

QUESTION 1

YES, but I never liked Beethoven (I'm a Wolfie fan)

QUESTION 2

I choose Candidate A. Sounds like a party, besides, I don't trust vegetarians or people that don't drink.

The statistcs on Congress do not srprise me in the least.
If Ted Kennedy can stay in office, then it is obvious that the people in the U.S. just do not care. I served a 3 year term on a small town Borough Council. The waste and stupidity I saw was enough to make you sick.
If you are a Wolfie fan does that mean you went to MooState?

Nah, I just happen to like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart because he was a Freemason.

Question 1 -- Yes. Cruise my neighborhood & watch all the welfare families that rack up the kids to get extra $ (I think after 4 they get no extra so they stop.) My cousin included... Parents don't need licenses!

Question 2 -- Can't say w/o further info. Don't care if he drinks, smokes, uses astrology, ... "A" sounds the best with this info though.

This thread is potentially very political and does not address the neutral (political and religious) aspect of these forums. I will allow it to continue for 24 hours whilst I discuss this thread with the Board of Directors and the Moderators.

If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion? I am sorry I let this thread get by me. Unfortunately, this is not a suitable topic for discussion here. It reminds me of my mother wanting to sterilize all the people she felt were 'not worthy'.

This thread is 'not worthy' of continuing here. It is outright political and religious, and based upon personal preferences which appear to include racist overtones.

Just to clarify something. I did not close this thread because of Carol. I closed it because in one post there was a reference to 'welfare moms' which is why the reference to my mother's position, and in general I simply didn't feel it was a 'good' thread.

Carol felt I was blaming something on her and I was not and am not. Many people who come here are not aware of the serious problems which have arisen in the past because of political and religious posts here. They are a definite NO NO. I have no intention of losing complete control as happened a few years ago. Those of you who are newer here wouldn't know about the 'bad times' so it's sorta like someone reading about the Viet Nam war who were born after 1980 - You can't know what it was like because you weren't there.

I left the thread up to see where it would lead, and it followed a 'poor' path from whence I made the decision to close it. On the other hand, take a look around and you will see there are very few closed threads. It's not as if the sky is falling. If I don't make these decisions from time to time control is lost and - Well, as I said, some folks here were around during the 'out of control' days and it wasn't pretty.

Unfortunately I can't please everyone all of the time - And neither can anyone else. For anyone who took offense at my closing the thread and my remarks, or took it personally, so be it. These forums are meant to be a focus on quality assurance and business standards and systems. Go to the ASQ or other 'quality' sites and there's nothing to compare to the Coffee Break forum. They keep on focus and don't want to have to deal with a forum with so much potential to 'go wrong'. I know people enjoy the Coffee Break forum and have resisted the many calls for me to close it so we can focus on the intent of the site. On the other hand, it simply cannot be 'anything goes'.
