Manoj Mathur 3rd February 2005, 04:27 AM The Pupose of APQP System is to establish and maintain a system for carrying out Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and to define and establish the steps required assuring that the requirement of quality is met for development of New Products. In Hindalco Alooy Wheel Rim Plant, We do APQP in the following phase. Phase – I Planning & Defining the program Phase – II Product Design & Development Phase – III Process Design & Development Phase – IV Product & Process Validation Phase – V Feed Back Assessment & Corrective Actions. Since we need a Die (Mould) to produce wheel Rim, we can not order and produce a die ($10000) without firm order of Customer. Hence To Produce Sample before Acceptence is not necessary in APQP. D.Scott 3rd February 2005, 04:30 AM Hi sunwen, welcome to the Cove. If you are planning to make a sample to confiirm your product-tech, I would include it in the time line. If you follow the APQP Manual, you should have no problems but if you have specific questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
