Help!!
I am confused. I have been reviewing my calibration certs from our outside calibration service. Upon closer examination of the cal cert, the Uncertainty is noted as >4:1
Please keep in mind this is on a 6" digital caliper.

Can someone please clarify what the statement under section 5.6.2.1.1 second paragraph, 5th sentence. The calibration certificates issued by these laboratories shall contain the measurement results, including the measurement uncertainity and/or a statement of compliance with an identified metrological specification.

Hi Lourna,

Some of that depends on the accrediting body's approach. The 4:1 is an accepted metrological specification, however, the argument can easily be made that the MU for a specific calibration should be included regardless of the metrological specification.

Hope that helps some.
