Could someone please decipher the following uncertainty statement:
Measuring Uncertainty: 0,13 + (L / 8000) µm L in mm
Error Limits: (0,2+L2000) µm :thanx:
thanks

I'll take a stab.
First of all, many countries around the world use a comma instead of a period to indicate decimals, so I'm assuming this comes from a non-US source, and 0,13 µm = 0.13 µm = 0.13 x 10^-6 m
The uncertainty increases for longer parts. If the part being measured has a length (measured in mm) of L = 800 mm, then you need to add (800/8000) µm = 0.1 µm to the uncertainty.
