I don't know....like the commercial says, "I like big trucks"

What does it say? Get out of my way, don't try to cut in, I can see every obstacle in my path, I have a goal and I know how to get there. I guess it does.

Although I guess it could say something else altogether..I can drive this big gas guzzling hog, and there isn't a person in this world can make me stop until I want to, so take that you environmentalist, you! nope, not me.

Me too - I'm not sure what that says about my personality, but people think it's a Napolean complex thing. I'm 5'2".

PS - I just got my very first brand new vehicle ever! 2005 GMC Sierra - 4wd - crew cab. I like the Chevy Silverado a little better - but I'm married to a GMC mechanic who will get paid to work on it and we got an employee discount!! :D

OK, my family car is a Honda Accord, and my commute car is a Honda Civic.

Any psychoanalysis as a result?

Mazda 3.
Hmmm.
Not sure what that says about me.

Trendy? Nah.

Practical? On occasion.

Compact? That varies from season to season. :lmao:

One time, back in the 90's, my car (a whitebread full-size sedan) was in the shop for some reason and my business partner lent me his Corvette to use while he was out of town on business.

I learned several things that week:

Trucks are much more intimidating to a driver in a Corvette than in a Buick Park Avenue.
A 100 mile drive is more comfortable in the big car than in the Corvette.
Convertibles are VERY noisy inside the cabin.
I looked like an outake from a movie each time I tried to get out of the Corvette in a graceful manner.

'95 Saturn SL with Salvaged Title ?

Okay, yes I am cheap.

Count me in as another short girl who loves big trucks. I just had to give up my old Silverado, but I'm already in the market for a new one that I can put some big mudders on!

Mazda 3 is really a nice car.

To me the car is nothing but a means to transport my bottom from A to B... Toyota Corolla here... Feel free to provide an analysis.

Second thought: I might just as well add that I clock more miles on my bike than in my car. I usually drive the car to work just once a week, so I suppose I may just as well get get an analysis on that too?

Most of my vehicles have been trucks. I am a tomboy and very outgoing - most of my vehicles represent my personality pretty well. I like cars but I love trucks.

Don't really care what I drive, as long as it gets me from A to B in safety and (relative) comfort. I insist on cruise control and AM-FM radio....all the rest of the options are luxuries that I will do without as required.

I currently drive a '92 Mercury Sable LS Wagon that we bought as a family car. When it was time to trade in my old beater for a 'go to work car', we ended up with a Venture van :-(

My current lust-for car is right across the street at the dealership....Pontiac Grand Prix GP-40 with ALL the toys.....this was a long-haul truckers weekend baby. 28K on the odometer, and it is IMMACULATE. He went so far as to have the entire car (including engine) shampooed/washed every 2 weeks, and detailed every month.

The price is VERY low (about $20K) but unfortunately I'm not in that kind of a position right now, unless my lottery tickets come in :-)

Hmmm, went from flashy Camaro's that I enjoyed putting in shows and driving fast, to my '93 Eagle Talon that started out as a fun sports car but now after 200K miles, I keep driving to save $. The wife has a Tiburon (red) and says it's the first car she ever bought because she WANTED it, not just settled for it.

I'm interested in a new Scion Xb or Honda Element, for cargo room.

So, perhaps I've grown up?

I follow you on this one Jerry, I have a '96 Intrepid with 181,000 on it. It doesn't burn oil, it is great on gas, starts every time, can still spin the tires at take off, etc. So, I guess if it reflects my personality it would be; older, reliable, and can still move when I need to? I don't know, sounds good to me!

A much beloved dark green Toyota Sienna Mini Van for me and a dark blue Volvo wagon for the ole man.

Ithaca is a Volvo town. We have an annual festival and one of the parade acts every year is the Volvo Ballet, where pink skirted Volvos drive in pretty patterns down the parade route.

I adore my mini van. The Volvo is like driving a square hunk of concrete. Having offended Cadillac owners in another thread, I have now managed to offend dedicated Volvo owners, including Mr. RosieA, in this one. Going for the gold today, folks! :lmao:

Don't forget Subarus. And Jettas for the custie Ithaca College students.

Volvo Ballet? Is that at Ithaca Festival? I had no idea!

But the question is does your car reflect your personality? My current is a red Firebird. My friends would say yes - red is firey - which I am on something I'm passionate about, I don't drive it in the winter, so I am conservative. It's a little sporty, and I'm athletic. So yes, my car of choice reflects my personality.

Yup, that's the Ithaca Festival parade. For a few years, when Suburu Outbacks looked to be making inroads against the Volvos, there was a "Suburu Samba" entry in the parade, complete with Carmen Miranda hats. But they weren't there this year, just the Volvo Ballet. (And my favorite, The He Man Chain Saw Marching Band)

I would have to say my current cars definitely reflect my personality. Both my car and my truck are different on the surface than what people think, as am I, sort of. I have a small truck (96 GMC Sonoma), but with a modified engine, drivetrain and extra springs for hauling, it looks tiny, but is really powerful, and hauls great amounts. My car, 1997 Saturn SW2 wagon with the performance package, people never expect a Saturn to spin the tires from the lights and get to 60+ in under 8 seconds. Both are much like me in that I seem to have an unorthodox style, and somewhat misunderstood (who in quality isn't somewhat misunderstood?).

Of course I drive a Ford ranger 4x4, off road, gas guzzling SofB. Who knows why? Perhaps it is in the stars. Years ago I owned a cape-cod style house and I was told by a friend (who fancied herself to be an Astrologer that a cape cod did not fit with my being a Saggitarian (probably mispelled) and that a Capricorn is better suited for a cape cod. Does the same logic hold for the cars we drive?
Any takers??? :)

I don't know about the stars.....they drive high priced cars.....oops, wrong stars.....

If our choice reflects our personality, I am in trouble.....mine has ranged from a pinto and Le Car at the low end to Saturn and B210 to a Rambler (with a 327) to trucks (both diesel and gas) to a Regal and my current love, a Catera.

Maybe I am just mixed up.....some would say that is normal for a Metrology guy and auditor..... :biglaugh:
