Hello all,
Does anyone have supplier audit checklists for special processes (i.e. painting, plating, heat treating, etc.)? I've looked over many web sites and can't find anything (and I hate to reinvent the wheel).
Thanks,
Shawn

Hi Shawn and Welcome to the Cove,
I moved your thread to the auditing board. You might get some responses here.
Have you tried to perform a search on the site to see if someone has posted something similar in the past?
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and see if there are any similart threads to this one.....
Good Luck and happy hunting!

Hi Shawn
AIAG is working on all three "specials". See
http://www.aiag.org/projects/pp522.cfm
They recognize that a subject matter expert is needed to audit. It is all too easy to "snow blind" even a skilled ISO auditor if they don't know what they are looking at.
Ford has a very good heat treat special process audit. In my opinion it is extremely well done. Tough but fair. A lot of thought put into the scoring guidelines. If you score well on this audit, you are a long way towards "World Class". Kudos to the authors.
Do you have access to Ford supplier portal? It is called W-HTX.
Aerospace guys have NADCAP for heat treat. I know little about it.
