Just had assessment audit. Everything went well -16 minors.
But I took a hit for not having a prioritzed reduction plan on scrap not being corrected by corrective action. If corrective action hads been taken, I cna't use that. He wants to see a reduction plan on the scrap we do nothing with. Any ideas?

I think what they are looking at here is the theory you are never at a point where scrap is eliminated - so - they ask for a 'plan'. Your plan would be based (at least in part) upon identified nonconformances, not a single nonconformance and it would be 'living' (that is it will change with time as new nonconformances are identified). Reviews and updates of FMEAs and control plans would probably be part of the plan.

Did you ask where (specifically - paragraph number, etc.) in QS9000 this is a stated requirement?
