We recently acquired an older model Tinius Olsen extrusion plastometer. (model #U E-86) I have no idea how to set-up or run this machine. Does anyone happen to have a manual or some type of instructions that I can follow.

I have the ASTM standard test method for this machine but, I need something a little simpler. :bonk:

It's also known as a "melt flow indexer" and is used to verify the melting/viscosity/flow characteristics of thermoplastic resins:

And you're right; the manufacturer is the best source, especially for old units.
