Marc 25th August 2005, 09:28 PM I think there is one here near the bottom of the page: Elsmar Cove Post Attachments Listing (http://elsmar.com/Forums/fileslist.php?mode=docs&sortby=filename&pageamt=2&fid=&page=3)
Jennifer Kirley 25th August 2005, 10:28 PM If that doesn't work you might try this source: http://www.qualitydigest.com/oct97/html/excel.html
My computer didn't open the referenced page right away--my DSL service is dratted slow--who knows, what I sent might be the same one!
cokyat 25th August 2005, 10:39 PM hey thanks Jen... God bless.
knight_sirk 12th October 2005, 06:14 AM Hi!
Do you still need the Excel Programmed Xbar-R Chart?
I can provide Xbar-R Chart, X-MR Chart, p-np Chart, Probability Plot,
and the like all in excel program. You just need to adjust values to suit
your need. :agree1:
Marc 12th October 2005, 06:30 AM If you have something you can and will share, you can attach it to a post in this thread! We'll all appreciate it!
knight_sirk 12th October 2005, 07:10 AM Im sorry, i cannot attach my files.
Excel Template was not a valid file extension.
Im not into advertising but really, really want to help...
I hope this could help anyone who is in need of SPC formulas in excel.
I wish im not violating any rules in this forum...
Jim Wynne 12th October 2005, 10:20 AM Im sorry, i cannot attach my files.

Try "zipping" the file(s) before uploading. You can download an honor-system evaluation copy of WinZip here: http://www.winzip.com/downwzeval.htm
haueyman 12th October 2005, 10:37 AM You can always go into excel and go to tools then add ins. It will give you a list of add ins and one is a Analysis toolpak. Gives you many different quality tools to use. :D
knight_sirk 13th October 2005, 06:00 AM Hi to all! :bigwave:
Herewith is our Excel Programmed Xbar-R Chart (Evaluation Copy).
I've made this program to give real time Stability Study,
so that even from the operator's stage they can easily know
if their process is stable.
Can you please review its reliability... :read:
I also made an Excel Programmed Ppk&Cpk Study, Normality Study using
Histogram w/ limits, Normal Probability Plot and Kolmogorov-Smirnov
(2nd worksheet removed in the attached file - under modification
for public posting) :agree:
On my next post . . . :agree1:
My Excel Programmed:
X-MR Chart
Thanks & God Bless you all!

It looked good to me:applause: but I did not spend a lot of time trying to disect it. But initially it looks good to me. As long as it works, there is software out there like SPC Express that does all of this autimatically.:magic:

AnGus BlackSmith 24th October 2005, 10:05 AM Great, I'll test it as soon as possible! It is just what I've been looking for. ;)
Try to post that Ppk&Cpk Study as well.
knight_sirk 25th October 2005, 12:31 AM Ok sir,
I will be modifying my previously attached Xbar R chart to include Ppk & Cpk Study for your consumption. :agree:
Just feedback any concern for fine tunning of the program. :agree1:
By the way, have you tried the Symphony Technologies Process Capability Calculator?
Just click, Atul's Symphony Technologies link at the left. (Courtesy Quick Links)
Marc 25th October 2005, 12:51 AM knight_sirk - If you would like to share a file everyone can use without restriction, by all means do. But... Please do not post commercial demo files.
knight_sirk 27th October 2005, 06:23 AM Hi to all!
At last, i have finished modifying my Xbar & R chart (including Ppk & Cpk Study) for public posting.
Kindly see attached.. :read:
Open for any comments for improvement/corrections.
But... Please do not post commercial demo files.
Pardon me sir, but my previous attachment and the attachment to this post is not commercial demo files. :nope: Sorry, forgot to remove the Warning headings on my previous attachment. :frust:
I've made this Xbar & R chart excel program since i dont have the resources to have expensive commercially programed files.
So this is it, i know this is a great help for people like me...
This is open for all (registered)! :bigwave:
:thanx:
Marc 27th October 2005, 09:25 AM My apologies - Sometimes things aren't apparent to me and I do make mistakes from time to time. I thought you were attaching demo files. My mistake.
We all appreciate your sharing!

antoine.dias 4th April 2006, 04:53 AM Welcome to the cove,
For new users the advice is always given to search in the existing files first, before asking.
Please look in attachment of one of the previous mails ( 3 mails above this one in the same thread - thanks to knight sirk ).
You can find a good file for SPC - Excel in this post.
Best regards and lots of success,
Antoine

Hi maev_verde1! :bigwave:
Welcome to the cove!
Kamusta? ;)
Have you tried my previously attached SPC program in excel?
Well, i have a newer version of that, modified and with added
functionalities.
It can perform Xbar&Rchart, X-MRchart and Median Chart
in just one spreadsheet. :agree1:
I'll just modify it for public posting.
However, it is modified based on our company need/practice. :bonk:
I presented it in our company Genba Kaizen.
maev_verde1 5th April 2006, 03:14 AM thanks for the help guys:) :agree1:

As I have mentioned earlier, I am now posting my latest version of
SPC program on excel.
Open for comments and suggestions. :read:
PROS: :agree1:
see attached
CONS: :whip:
- X-MR data should be entered only at the first row of the data readings.
- Capability study for X-MR is fixed for n=2.
- Cpu, Cpl, Cp, Cr & Cpk value is disabled when Ppk study is selected.
- Pp, Pr, Ppk value is disabled when special cause occurs if Ppk Study is selected.
- This program is designed based on the need of our company.
- Locked for formatting due to confidentiality

knight_sirk 6th April 2006, 07:09 AM Additional PROS: :agree1:
- Recalculation of new Control Limits to exclude the effects of
out-of-control periods can be easily conducted.
Just simply remove/delete the data of a subgroup,
the program will automatically respond to any change/s.
CONS: :whip:
- (as stated above) except the data in the 1st subgroup. :frust:
Any comments and suggestions for those who have tried
the program? :thanx: :cfingers:
pakitoak 15th April 2006, 02:59 PM Good job! Knight_Sirk. :applause:

It is a very good one, a lot of hard work have been done on it. Tks for sharing.
I do have some suggestion on it,
a) Is it possible to have it change the out of control limit point in chart turn to others color or highlighted it.
b) to show more data instead of showing 25 data. What I mean is to have more pages if my data is >25, for example if I do have 100 data so it can be browse thru page 1-4.
tks

a) can't find solution for the chart but there's another way.
i formatted C43:AA43, AC43:BA43, C44:AA44 & AC44:BA44
to highlight the value in red when it is out-of-control limit.
b) I just add another working page for additional 25subgroups.
I hope it can help..
I will still update my program and utilize more worksheet
and also to have more data to be entered.

Thank you very much sir :thanx:
But, is the link correct? :truce:
Actual information in the posted link for the thread page
is only the snap shot of the Ford Capability Study,
where's the template? :nope:
Sorry, I assumed it in excel since it is the topic of this thread.
I put a copy of Delphi SPC in this discussion thread:
Delphi Capability Spreadsheet - An Excel .xls file
:topic: Question:
For the Delphi Process Capability Certification Report
which is part of the Delphi Part Certification.xls file
(Partcertall_6.15 3rd ed constants.xls)
Since it is my main reference in my SPCv1.03&v1.04
I would like to know if the 7 point (or 14 pt.) up and down trend
is not mandatory check for Delphi?
And is there any updated file for this .xls file?
It will greatly help us , since it is also the concern
of others.
Thank you very much for great resources. :thanks:

Unfortunately I left Delphi 4 years ago but the last comments I received from Some friends in the Quality Departemt (6 monts ago) was that they agree to receive capability studies from their supplier not using their templete but the hystogram was mandatory.
jrubio 3rd July 2006, 11:47 AM Why donīt you ask them the file?.
:notme:
For sure if you ask them to give you the file, they will give you the templete.
Take into account that according to TS if exists a customer templete you must use it, therefore is their obligation supply you all the mandatory files for their suppliers.
In Covisint there are many of them if you have the pasword to enter as Supplier whether not ask directly to the Quality Deparment, they will pleased you supply it.
Regards. ;)

Seņor jrubio,
Thank you very much for all your posts in the cove. :thanx:
Lots of good stuff you have provided. :applause: :applause: :applause:
jrubio 5th July 2006, 04:44 AM For that reason Delphi ordered (I Think) to Packard Bell to create the templete PPAP in order their supplier fulfill the same templete, whether not with lots of different suppliers it woud be a nightmare. :bonk:

We'll for my pending work, i attached here the raw program
that i will be incorporating in my SPC excel based program.
The formula used is designed to count the
consecutive data points up&down.
I already finished this almost a month ago to check for any bug or errors
and i would like to seek your comments/suggestions for any possible
alternative formulas or construction of formula to make the program stable.
(i just can't get rid of the feeling that there should/could be something
to improve) :frust:
Formulas are highlighted in yellow.
Please advise.
