View Full Version : Calibration/GR&R Uncertainty

Dear fellow proffesionals once again I find myself still asking questios about
MSA with respect to uncertainties.

Someone has suggested that per ISO 17025 uncertainties need to be measured between calibration and GR&R. I can not seem to find such a statement anywhere with in the standard.

Currently all calibrations are out sourced and uncertainties are included on
all certifications.

Can anyone shed some light.

As always, I thank you in advance for your help and expertise.

If your calibrations are outsourced to an accredited lab and uncertainties are reported, you have the information you need for that instrument.

Now feed the uncertainties into your R&R. Remember it is reported as an expanded uncertainty (95% confidence), so you may well have to divide by two to reduce to standard uncertainties (67% confidence).

Hope this helps.
