Hey folks,
maybe this is to personal, but I don´t understand.
Why Lear US will not accept an FORD EUROPE signed PPAP ?
Maybe here is somebody from Lear, who can explain me that.
I´m very sorry for the personality.
Kevin :thanks:

bigkevin,
You'll recall that a few weeks ago we discussed another PPAP question you had: http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?postid=118755#poststop.
I'm not sure that one was ever completely resolved, mainly due to language issues. I'm sensing the same sort of problem here, so if you could provide as much detail as possible, it's more likely we can help. As it is, it appears that you're asking why one company (Lear) won't accept a PPAP package that was approved by a different company (Ford) on a different continent (Europe). I'm not sure why you'd expect Lear to accept the package.
I´m very sorry for the personality.
That sounds like something I should sayhttp://elsmar.com/Forums/images/smilies/biggrin-a1.gif .

bigkevin,
I think that the main problem is that some of the practices that are acceptable in Europe and not in the States and vice versa
There are cultural differences between the manner in which the various requirements are interpreted. In Europe there tends to be more importance placed on the actual performance and industrial climate rather than the letter of the law.
One needs to get used to accepting that Europe wants one thing and the States a different, just as in Europe the French emphasis some things and the Germans another.
Here is an interesting Quote from "Automotive Internal Auditor Pocket Guide"- Roderick A. Munro, ASQ Press
The US and European OEM's all use the ISO/TS 16949:2002 standard, but in Europe, things are done slightly differently, which this book does not cover.
