BELFAST (Reuters) - Delegates to the annual World Toilet Summit in Northern Ireland's capital Belfast could be forgiven for feeling flushed this week after sitting down for a three-day debate on the finer points of public sanitation...In terms of public toilet excellence (http://today.reuters.com/news/newsarticle.aspx?type=oddlyEnoughNews&storyid=2005-09-29T180145Z_01_EIC964873_RTRUKOC_0_US-LIFE-TOILETS.xml), it was generally agreed that Singapore was a model for the rest of the world, with the UK somewhere around the middle of the league table. :applause: :beerdive:
No wonder Columbus (according to the story) wanted to sail west and find a shortcut to the far east. Since Marco Polo's time, the western world has known that pure excellence in anything your heart could desire, can be found in the far east.

It's nice to see that other folks appreciate the finer and truly important things in life.
This thread is just as good as any other to share a photo of the best hotel restroom(s) in the USA which just happens to be my home airport location of Ft. Smith, Arkansas (FSM). A couple of months ago some travel magazine gave us the #1 thumbs up in the country...Wooooooo PIG, Sooey...Razorbacks!
This is the mens room....
The waiting are at the gates (both of them) is furnished with wing-back chairs, coffee tables and couches as good as in any nice living room.

Nice Digs, Randy. Has the World Toilet Summit placed their seal of EXCELLENCE on this FSM restroom?
I Googled Outhouse (http://www.prosci.com/xouthous.htm) and came up with this. The interesting thing to me was this statement at the top of the web page. "The Colorado Way on continuous improvement vs. reengineering". :agree1:

I'm glad I'm not the one who has to evaluate the output of that process:lmao: .

When I was a kid, my Grandfather needed to build a new facility. One of my tasks  was to evaluate process output. :mg:

OK, staying on topic here. How did they achieve the excellence? Were they using methods such as this one?

Claes, maybe you can help with this. Do you personally have any audit results that would substantiate Amsterdam's claim to having "perfect process control"?
howste, additional research is needed to determine what processes the World Toilet Summit authorities used in generating their report (http://today.reuters.com/news/newsarticle.aspx?type=oddlyEnoughNews&storyid=2005-09-29T180145Z_01_EIC964873_RTRUKOC_0_US-LIFE-TOILETS.xml).

My wife's parents took us to see a movie this weekend. When it let out I went to use the facilities. After seeing the posted "Cleaning Checklist" on the wall I noticed that it had only been pencil whipped (like always) and remembered the fly etched in the toilet picture and statistical background. I wish we had some of those urinals here.

It's nice to see that other folks appreciate the finer and truly important things in life. Though the picture for some reason is not big enough but it looks
