View Full Version : EN 9100 7.5.1.4 Control of work transferred outside the organization's facilities

7.5.1.4 requires:
When planning to temporarily transfer work to a location outside the organization's facilities, the organization shall define the process to control and validate the quality of the work.

I have difficulty in understanding this requirement. Can anybody give me an example when this can occur in a Design or Production Organization?

Since there is a separate EN 9110 for Maintenance Organziations, I don't think we are talking of Maintenance, do you?

:thanks:

No, not maintenance. It applies to temporary outsourcing of your normal production work, which might occur when orders exceed your facility's capacity, or when your own production facilities become temporarily unavailable.
