Hi,
I'm new to the forums and am looking for templates in Word format for writing work instructions. Our organisation is in the healthcare sector delivering Care in the Community to all ages. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I have just completed the Quality Manual and am working on SOP's and WI's.

Thanks
Bryan-G:thanx:

Hiya,

Here is an example of what we use in a manufacturing enviornment.

Welcome to the Cove!:bigwave:

You might find some benefit from free registration to the Institute For Healthcare Improvement (http://www.ihi.org) and would certainly find many kindred spirits also struggling to adapt industrial and commercial quality tools to the healthcare environment.

On the specific topic of Work Instructions, I find it is best to consider a combination of presentation methods, rather than using strictly text, to get the information in the hands of workers so they can assimilate and use it.

Thus, many organizations are turning to the use of cartoons, photos, sketches, even videos, as work instructions.

Please don't let your organization or yourself get locked into a pattern of making stultifying blocks of nearly identical text for different work tasks just because "X did it this way and nobody said they were wrong."

As my mom always commented, "If they jumped in the lake in the middle of winter, would you jump, too?"
