Wish to know if there is any thumb rule to decide when the ISO14001 certification is granted. Based on the Non conformities.
e.g. If after the final assessment the assessor finds say 4 Minor Non Conformities in 4 different areas, can the certificate get issued in such a case.

ISO 14015 should clarify this. (Environmental management -- Environmental assessment of sites and organizations) - present version 2001.
I do not have a copy of this standard however.
Best regards,

Keep it simple Antione...
Certification is granted when all requirements have been met and the system is effectively managing environmental performance.
Non-conformaties can have an effect, but the effect is based upon the certifying bodies procedures, your contactural agreement and the accreditation body requirements over the CB.
CB's do not use ISO 14015 so don't get all wrapped around the axle with a non-issue.
