Hi Everyone

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the regulations for the registration and sale of medical devices into Syria? I'm struggling to find anything at the moment. :frust: even after spending a lot of time on google searching numerious websites and publications we have on file.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as I seem to be getting no where fast

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Leeanne

You might want to query the Syrian embassy in London; you can find the address and phone number here: http://www.arabcentre.co.uk/arab-embassy.aspx

Do you want to know Syria's regulations as a customer or the UK's as a seller to Syria?

If the latter, this could prove to be a hard one. I did some searching on Google and didn't find any Syrian government sites. You might want to contact the Syrian embassy as JSW05 mentioned.

BSI might be able to help, they have a department which identifies and translates, if necessary, foreign legislation and standards. Contact details are on www.bsi-global.com in the foreign trade bit.

Me again, sorry to do this in two bites.
Also try www.uktradeinvest.gov.uk/ukti/appmanager/ukti/splash.
I'll shut up now!

Thank you all so much for your quick response. :agree1:

Just to confirm we are a UK company looking to sell to Syria.

I will give those contacts a try and let you know what I find out.

:thanx:

The DTI country desks are a good place to start, as indicated above.

If you are a member of ABHI or BIVDA, their regulatory people may be able to assist.
