Tis the season for this kind of stuff. I personnally dont like the math. Any engineers out there that can confirm or should we think of Santa as a 4-dimensional creature?:biglaugh:

There's a flaw in the assumptions. There are actually only 3 good children that deserve a visit from Santa and fit the demographics listed in this white paper. This reduces Santa's workload tremendously and throws all of these calculations down the toilet. Each of these children has managed to maintain their essential goodness even though they are growing up poor and desperate in the middle of large North American or European cities (I cannot name the cities as this would place these children in great danger).

All the rest of the kids' parents buy them presents and tell them that Santa brought them.

Good stuff. But out of the mouths of babes...

When my oldest (now almost 19) was about 8. He said...Mom..I've been thinking about this Santa Claus thing....The earth is X miles, in and out of every chimney, times the amount of time per chimney.....(Something like that..very logical thinking)

I knew I had an engineer..like his father...and maybe a statistician like his mother.

I was thinking more along the lines of the "Picard" maneuver where Captain Picard was able to be in two places at one time by going to warp speed for a few milli-seconds and cutting back to stop. The enemy then chose to fire at the wrong target. Remember the Star Trek episode??? Certainly Santa and his valient herd led by Rudolph possess Warp drive capability!!!:biglaugh:

Jim, I'm going to break this to you as gently as I can... Star Trek, Picard, and the Enterprise aren't real either.:nope: I'm so sorry. :mybad:

Jennifer,
It looks like you are diving into a large frosty mug of beer. I shall be doing so shortly myself. Cheers!

Rob,

Thanks to the Guardian of Forever and the slingshot capability, we have the ability to enjoy the Enterprise.

And if you doubt what I say, then we should meet at Quarks.....I'll even buy the first round of Romulan Ale.....:agree1:

Reading throught the last several posts in this thread, I'm reminded of a line from the movie The Birdcage, in which the character played by Gene Hackman says, "I feel like I'm insane."

Rob,
They are real, the Easter Bunny told they were!!!!
I can live with Santa, it's those creepy elfs that get me. I think elfs are the "Others" on Lost. They're evil.
