How would I determine what/if any FDA regulations apply to a product that my company is looking to produce? Is there a place to start looking?

Start by searching for FDA guidance documents. (http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfGGP/Search.cfm) Then look at the recognized consensus standards database (http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfStandards/search.cfm). Knowing your product code or regulation number (http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfPCD/classification.cfm) will be helpful.
