What is the maximum bend allowable tolerance on a three and a half inch truss head machine screw? I know its in the fi standards, i cant seem to locate it. Yous have been very helpfull for me in other areas, seeing if anyone can help me now. Thank you in advance. :bonk:

You should be able to find the appropriate formulae in the Machinery Handbook.

My guess is the Industrial Fastener Institute.

i did mean ifi, sorry.
my problem is, i have a three and a half inch truss head machine screw. this part gets heat treated and needs to stay within a .025 T.I.R. but do the ifi standards give you an allowable bend tolerance as well. thank you again in advance and hope everyone had a great holiday:thanks:
