Hi Cove members,

Our company manufactures turned and pressed parts to customers specifications. Taking in considerations the demands of various customers, we have planned to go in for ISO14001 certification. Can the EMS experts in the cove let me know what steps are required to implement ISO 14001 certification ? Can someone share some reading material on ISO 14001 certification?

We are shifting our plant to a different location. The construction is under progress. Is there any EMS aspect that has to be looked into during construction. Is fire alarm system must as part of EMS implementation?

Thanks,
Andy

You might want to start by reading this discussion thread: ISO 14001 Implementation Schedule - feedback (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=13091) - Another thread is Implementing ISO14000 - I need help (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=13020)

There are quite a few threads here where implementing ISO 14001 is discussed. You might want to browse the ISO 14001 forum discussion threads. Or - do a Search for +14001 +implement - Personally I'd go to the Advanced Forum Search and choose 'Titles Only' and boolean search.

DNV Certification developed this attached road map for ISO 14001 implementation. It tries to relate the ISO 14001 clauses to the Plan-do-check-act underlying approach.
