Greetings! I'm curious as to whether or not any of my fellow Covers have used the 3M Finesse-It System? We are currently coating a low gloss part (approximately 20 degrees) and it has been suggested by two different individuals that I attempt to 'Finesse' the defects out (most of which are .3mm in diameter). I purchased the necessary equipment from a local auto body shop but just as I had feared it appears to only work with a high gloss finish. Does anyone know if there is any similar system geared towards a lower gloss finish?

What is "3M Finesse-It System". I'm involved in coating, but don't know. Brand of "Finess of grinding", measuring equipment ? It's 1o'clock in the midnight, and tired to searc the net. If you give some more info, maybe I can help.

I work in a tier-1 automotive parts plant and we use Finesse-It extensively. As far as I know finesse it cannot be used on low gloss parts. We paint both high gloss and low gloss (20 to 30 degree) using 1K/1K and 1K/2K high bake paint.
I'd suggest contacting a rep. at 3M. I find they are very helpful when it comes to customer service and coming up with solutions to problems.
