At http://www.epa.gov/ in the site for publications there is an excellent book for the implementation of ISO 14k for-free. The archive name is finalgu.pdf. I have a copy of it.

In so far as books and such, Jack Kanholm's book is a basic 'revelation' book - 1.) Requirement, 2.) Documentation, 3.) Evidence/Records, 4.) Audit structure is simple and sufficient. If you want to get into more detail with some philosophy and such there is Don Sayre's book Inside ISO 14000.

Has anyone got any first hand knowledge of these books or can recomend anything for me to start implementation of ISO14001.

Since it's a government document, could you send the Word version? Easier would be to attach it to a post in this thread.

Since I asked I have found the second edition and it is attached.
It is a zip file as it was to big.
Anyone on the books or is this enough.
