I have heard that in December of 2001 that ISO 14000 REGISTRATION will be mandatory for companies seeking ISO 9001 REGISTRATION. this true?

Some customers or groups may require it of suppliers/affiliates but that's it. A good many of the requirements of 9001 are met when doing 14K but the 2 are seperate and distinct standards.
