Hi all, this is my first start to post my question here. I keep reading a lot of good informations in this Forum and i feel that i can have a good advise or in this Forum regarding to my company's ISO/TS 16949:2002 re-certification.

I'm actually new to my company and my organization is handling and manage the sub contractors who are making the product for us. Since i'm lacking of the information regarding to first TS 16949 certification audit (according to my colleague, the audit for subcontractor management is handle by supplier management in the head quarter) and we are actually not control by the supplier management now. That's means whatever their answer during the first audit may be is no longer valid to us. Now my question, is the CB auditor will refer back to what we have presented during the first audit to carry out the re-certification audit?
We did presented some COPs during last survilliance audit and we got one observation. But what i know is the survilliance audit is different with the re-certication audit. The CB auditor will check more thing compare with the surviliance audit. Can somebody help to share some re-certifcation experience with me? Thanks

Hi HongFong,

Welcome to the cove.:bigwave:
I would suggest that you find out what is happening and gathered all the information needed.

What your organization have presented during the last audit would still valid and you need to inform your CB before the site audit take place for the changes that is happening, so that both parties would not caught in surprise.

There should not be any significant differences between surveillance & re-certification audit. Based on my experiences, the only differences would be the auditor will have more time in re-certification to scrutinize your processes for compliance & opportunities for improvements.

My two cents....

Hope this help you
