Anyone attending April 30th - May 2nd? Milwaukee's my current home, so I am willing to provide help finding your way around.

Would love to meet up with some Covers, if you plan to attend.

QG,
I will be attending the conference. May 3rd afternoon (after the conference) is pretty much open for me. If you have any proposals for date/time/location, please PM me.
Regards,
Govind.

I'm pretty sure I'll wind up there for most of the conference but haven't set a schedule yet (can't even play hooky by going to a Brewers game  )

There is another conference in Milwaukee at the same time period as that of World Conference. (I have no idea why these 2 should conflict with each other) any how, ASQ web page says it is a free attendance for World Conference attendees.

Regards,
Govind.

"Innovation Comes To The World Conference And Gives You Two Conferences For The Price Of One
2006 World Conference attendees have the unique opportunity to attend TRIZCON 2006 for FREE!!!
With your paid attendance to World Conference, you can attend the Sunday tutorials and two-day conference hosted by The Altshuller Institute (TRIZ studies), the ASQ Research Committee, the newly formed ASQ Innovation Forum and the International Academy of Quality.
Complete tutorial descriptions are available, as well as a look into TRIZCON 2006, through www.aitriz.org. Take advantage of lower airfares with a Saturday night stay.
To attend, make sure you register for the World Conference. Once on-site at the event, you’ll be able to attend the tutorials with your ASQ World Conference badge as your admission (no pre-registration is necessary for these tutorials or sessions). Get your inspiration for your innovation from TRIZ."

I went to a TRIZ intro event about 6 years ago. Unless they have made significant changes to the methodology, I will use my time elsewhere.

I guess INNOVATION is the new buzz word that some people hope will replace some of the other buzz words of the last decade...............

A sailor once told me what kind of bargain could be had in Saigon for $30 a day. This thing is asking $410.

I might go to the career fair.

Just want to pop this one up on the radar screen again. It looks like a couple of Covers will be at this event. Anyone else?? Wes, are you making the drive?

Would anyone like to meet up for lunch on Tuesday at this event? Or, if you are attending the dinner on Tuesday, we could meet there!

I think this could be a great event. Really looking forward to it.

I will be there from Saturday to Wednesday. If you come by the Biomedical Division booth, ask for Steven, that is me!

Has anyone heard the results of the ASQ election yet?

The results were to be announced yesterday at the ASQ World Conference. As of yet, there is nothing (that I can find) at the ASQ website. Perhaps someone at the conference has heard.

Did the establishment candidate win, or did the upstart pull off the upset?

The establishment candidate won with over 60% of the vote.

The establishment candidate won with over 60% of the vote. That's not a bad showing, considering how the odds were stacked against an interloper!

I'm sorry personal & family business is keeping me from making the drive up. I really wanted to press the flesh with many of you!

The conference was good, and meeting fellow Covers was the highlight!

My thanks to Govind for tracking me down. We had delightful and insightful conversations. I will definitely be ready for the CMQ/OE exam. I wish you much success in your new home. Before you know it, you are sure to be section chair! Safe travels to India.

Wes from QCI -- thanks for the overview of the materials and to QCI for hosting such an informative User's forum. I learned a lot. The meal and hospitality were second to none. Your grasp of all that is quality is mind-boggling, and you have the certifications to prove it! I look forward to staying in touch.

To Statistical Steven -- thanks for rushing to the Biomedical booth to meet me. It was great fun to chat with you, although much too short of a time. I wish you much success in your leadership role with Biomedical Division. I think it's awesome! And now I know I can tap your knowledge when I get stuck with stats questions.

To Craig Cochran -- as always, it was great to see you and talk. Thank goodness you found beer in Milwaukee. If people have not ever bought one of this man's books or read one of his articles -- what are you waiting for???! www.patonpress.com or Amazon. He is the Shakespeare of quality prose.

I also had the chance to spread the word about Elsmar to several of the conference participants. They all seemed excited to learn of such a valuable resource. :D

With warm regards to all,

Jodi, aka Quality Goddess

Hi Quality Goddess,

I enjoyed meeting you, and thank you for introducing me to Statistical Steven. I am glad that you liked the Users Forum.

Hi Steven, it was nice meeting you as well.

I was also able to see Govind and Akio again. What a great group of people here on the Cove.

In summary, I think I enjoyed meeting old and new friends more than anything else at the WCQI.
