I'm in the process of writing a supplier manual designed to provide our requirements to suppliers of outsourced design work (when we get busy and have to outsource design work).

My question is... Can I use some of the requirements out of ISO-9001:2000. We are currently ISO-9001:2000 registered. Many of the requirements I want to pass down on my supplier of outsourced design is the same ones that I have to meet with ISO-9001:2000. Do, I also need to cite that I used these requirements from ISO-9001:2000 at the end of the supplier quality manual?

I don't have persay a procedure for them to follow, but a list of things that our supplier must do in order for us to do business with them. I am changing the wording up a little bit to fit our company and our requirements.

Yes, you certainly can include ISO requirements. I would suggest you should, in order to standardize, rather than write a modified version of your own.

If you use ISO requirements, you should site the reference to the ISO clause (for clarity), and should reference the ISO copyright within your manual.

If you plan to use much of the standard, you ought to contact ISO firts, to understand their copyright requirements.
