This appears to be an element based checklist (but a very good one)

Is this meant to satisfy the requirements for a "process approach to auditing".

If so, how would you justify it to a registrar?

These guys of GKN are brilliant, specially I remember this guy I met in Cádiz when they came to Audit us, I have never seen such professional Auditing as they did I think his name was Andrea Donahue or something similar, the Quality Manager of GKN group STA (Wou) and Sebastian..., Amazing their knowledge

This check List is a Customer process check List and it means that you previously have the TS, so is more focus to apply when appears rejects at supplier site and the act of the customer is mandatory to minimize it.
I think this is the porpous of that Process Audit.

For the most recent posters who have commented on this checklist, I'd like to offer that although GKN are a very good company (been in business for over 100 years) please be aware that such a list is not suitable (without significant reworking) for use in internal quality audits. It is, from review, suitable for a supplier audit, but is requirements based from an ISO standard which is not appropriate for internal auditors to use.
