Hi, are there any international standards for the calibration of force gauges? I need to find out the typical accuracy requirements of force gauges. Thanks.

What kinds of gages specifically?

I gather you do not mean load cells, universal test machine, etc.

2 types please...

a) push-pull force gauges (say 0~25kN capacity)

b) load cell system (say 100kN capacity)

Any cal stds for the above? Thanks.

I'm not sure about any international standards for force gages.....

In the U.S., calibration of force is typically accomplished under ASTM E 4 (testing machines) or E 74 (load cells). Military procedures (USN NA 17-20 series or USAF T.O. 33K series) procedures also are used, mostly for the push-pull hand-held types devices.

If you are seeking a cal lab to calibrate the items, I do know a good one in the Pacific NW. If you are wanting to do the cal, then hopefully this information helps a bit.
