View Full Version : Registrar's Fees on the Internet Marc 16th October 1998, 10:41 PM Interesting. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the info. Roger Eastin 17th October 1998, 01:48 AM I noticed on the web page for Quality Digest that you can ask for a price quote from a registrar on the Internet. One place you can do this has a web address of www.isogroup. simplenet.com. At this site there are only four registrars represented, but it at least can give someone a starting place. barb butrym 18th October 1998, 01:41 AM I ran across that this week too...wonder if its a pay service...seems they would benefit if they recriuted more registrars Marc 9th November 1998, 11:24 AM The one-stop, multiple quote page is active, tested, and working well at the web site: (www.isogroup.simplenet.com/massquote.htm) By filling in a single form you get up to six registrars submitting no-obligation quotes. This will save you considerable time and effort in getting figures for your management team. ISO 9000, QS-9000, AS 9000, SA 8000, and ISO 14000 are all supported, as well as transfer of existing registrations. Roger Eastin 19th November 1998, 10:09 AM I submitted a request for quotes to this website and have received one quote (to date). Although it isn't quite to the 24 hr turnaround that is quoted by the website owner, it is certainly quicker than calling 5 registrars with the same information to get 5 quotes! Marc 20th November 1998, 07:21 AM I can't speak to how quickly a registrar will respond nor will I comment on whether 5 will actually respond. My experience with registrars has been spotty. What I mean by this is they are often difficult to communicate with (don't return phone calls within a reasonable time, etc.) and (in general) are not my idea of customer oriented after the 'sale'. |
