I was just wondering what texts you could recommended for the following topics:
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
5s
Visual Management
KanBan
Value Stream Mapping
Setup Reduction
Standardised Work
Poka Yoke

I am looking for texts that are relevant to each subject and up to date with current practices.

If you could please include the title of the book, the author and if possible the publisher and ISBN number....I would appreciate it.

Thanks

My comments in BLUE:

I was just wondering what texts you could recommended for the following topics:

Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) - "Introduction to Tpm: Total Productive Maintenance" Seiichi Nakajima

5s - "Five Pillars of the Visual Workplace" Hiroyuki Hirano

Visual Management - See 5S book as they are truly one and the same if practiced correctly.

KanBan - "Kanban Just-in-Time at Toyota" Japan Mgmt Association

Value Stream Mapping - "Learning to See" James Womack

Setup Reduction - "A Revolution in Manufacturing - The SMED System" Shigeo Shingo

Standardised Work - "One Piece Flow" Kenichi Sekine

Poka Yoke - "Poka-Yoke: Improving Product Quality by Preventing Defects" Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun

If you could please include the title of the book, the author and if possible the publisher and ISBN number....I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Amazon should have these in stock.

Now for the caveat. All of these are great resources, but you probably won't be reading any of these in a few hours. If you want some good references which are pretty down and dirty then check out Productivity Press (http://www.productivitypress.com/showproducts.cfm?FullCat=11) and their shopfloor series of books.

Also, this is just my preferred list. There are other definitely other sources out there, but these are usually the first I will reference.
