Hello my Friends,

Could anyone help me?

My questions is when a Team Feasibility Commitment is needed to fill in the APQP process? I do not really know this form. Right after design release or just after production tooling completition or what steps are there prior to a Team F.C.'s sign-off?

thanks

Gekko,

In our manufacturing environment we have A "team feas form" like yours, and this is done upon receipt of Order (P.O. - Kick-off) to insure all aspects of the design/build/cost are feasible without incurring (add) more cost on your end.. by all our AQP team Advance quality planning team. These are representative from all department (disciplines) who signs-off the form. Thus the term Team feasibility commitment form in our case..
Hope this helps.

It is an Output of Product Design and Development
and Input of Process Design and Development.

We do Team Feasibility meeting in the contract review process
or the RFQ (request for quotation) stage, since
we are not design responsible.
This is for us to know that the proposed design can be manufactured,
assembled, tested, packaged and delivered in sufficient quantity,
at an acceptable cost to the customer schedule and also to
identify concerns and/or proposed changes to enable us to meet
the customer specified requirements.

I think after prototype, before launch : )

Exactly it is the only part of section 2 that is required by non design responsible companies.

We implement our Team feasiability commitment at the RFQ stage also, we are not design responsible for most of our projects.

However don't tie yourself up in red tape, I feel that the commitment should be done as early as possible to eliminate any wasted resource on a project that is clearly not feasible! It can always be revisted at various stages if required! Remain flexible and make the best use of some useful tools such as the TFC, this often comes with being creative!

As soon as possible. The document should be signed before the RFQ is sent to the costumer. And re-opened when order has been placed by the customer.

We had our certification audit (ISO/TS) this month and got a minor for not having this form as a record as part of our quote process. :notme:

Is there a customer-specific requirement for it, or an internal (your company) requirement?

The QS9000 form might not be needed, as I remember the form was an example. But some form of organisation manufacturing feasability is required 7.2.2.2.
Maybe this is what was meant but "old familiar terms" were used

We are now using the Team Feasibility Form (page 91 in APQP). We could provide no evidence of determining Manufacturing Feasibility as required by TS. We were doing it but had no evidence.

Feasibility review is more than just a 1 time doc process. You should perform feas review during the RFQ process but also after prototype or prior to launch. A second feas review should support your manufacturing feasibility assessment letter. It makes it easier for the manufacturing group.
