Hello there
We are already certified with ISO9001:2000 and now intend to go with ISO14001EMS & OHASAS 18000 Integrated System to fulfill our customers requirement.
However, i need to know what is required for this Integrated System.
We are manufacturers of Power Generator Sets, and the time being our factory outlet is a rented property. We heard that there need to be some repair works etc, noise cannot be heard etc....
Can you give me an explanation on what are the requirements for this 14001EMS??
Thank you.

There are lots of requirements in those 2 standards. Some of them are very similar to those in ISO 9001, some of them are more specific.
Eventually you will have to buy the standards, but in the meantime you will find a lot of info on those topics here in the cove.
For starters look at the bottom of this page here and you will find some links to threads already discussing these topics.
You can also do a search here and you will find a lot.
Then in the end if you have more specific questions, no doubt you will find a lot of answers here.
Best regards and lots of success,
Antoine

You can look at an ISO 14001 Audit Check List for some of the main requirements, but I agree that you will have to get a copy of the standard and read it so that you understand the basics.

A copy of the standard is a must, but even more important is that you (or somebody at your plant) understand all the fed., state and local environmental regs and legal requirements that pertain to your facility for environmental and H&S.
You mention "We heard that there need to be some repair works etc, noise cannot be heard etc...." Until you fully understand what you need to do to take care of the legalities of operation you'll never be able to implement a truly functional management system.
So, get you a copy of the standards, make sure your permits and plans, and all legal requirements are in place, know what your OSHA requirements are and just start fitting them together. As you go, you'll be able to formulate your questions and I'm sure that you'll find a wealth of knowledge here.

Well, as everyone said already you will need to buy both standards and read them throughly. I also find US EPA web site very useful. Here are some links:
http://www.epa.gov/ems/resources/guides.htm
http://www.dep.state.pa.us/dep/deputate/pollprev/Iso14001/EMSGuides.htm
at these address you can check their EMS implementation guides and they are free. I found EMS Handbook for WasteWater facilities very useful although the company I am working for is not a Wastewater facility. Good thing is that you will find that you guys have implemented most of the requirements of ISO 14001. Also if you already comply with environmental regulations you will find that you already did some of the work required by the standard.

Thought this checklist might help to outline what is required. The layout might be somewhat skewed as I removed some Company-Specific information.
I also agree with the others that it will be necessary to obtain a copy of the standard.

I have an article posted somewhere on this forum about Integrating ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. (Not certain where, but a search should find it). It also applies to TS.
