Hi,

in my company we need to make a logistics FMEA for several parts that we get from suppliers from abroad. I need to make a logistics- FMEA for all processes that tha parte goes through.

Has anybody done this before, how would a logistics FMEA look like, I want to make the FMEA related to each logistics operation that the part passes through.

It should be one for an internal and one for an external logistics process.

It would be nice to get some kind of a input here, some ideas how to start the logistics FMEA.

Thank You !

Logistics is a process. Use a process FMEA approach. Define the major steps involved, then analyze each for what the functions/objectives (specs in manufacturing processes) are of each step, how they could fail to be met, what the effects would be ... etc.

Welcome to the cove.
We have discussed these issues before ( Logistics FMEA - Never Have done One - Need Ideas (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=7539).
Here is a very simple one line example
