Please find attached an Excel file having worksheets about failure data of Cathode Stripping Machines .I am interested in finding out reliability of stripping machine.
Somebody would like to help by working on these data to find out Distribution, Reliability, MTBF and MTTR , Shape etc .

Please let me know If any additional input is required.

There is quite a bit missing.
(1) What does duration stand for?
uptime or run time?
For each machine,what is the required operating time per day?

(2) What is your production throughput requirements?
Ex : Sheets strucked in the belt conveyor/chute (CSM-1 JUN)
out of 424 min duration you have 51 occurrences.
out of 424 minutes duration , how many sheets are supposed to pass through?

(3) You have a multi-modal nightmare. Try winnowing down the list to the top (5) or (10) issues and collect data daily for a week.

Once you have answered (1) and (2) above (3),resubmit.

Let me submit the 'Missing Bit'

1) Duration in the data sheet is down time /breakdown time in minutes.
The required operating time for each machine is 16 hours per day.
2) Production through put required is 518 tonnes cathode sheets
This implies approx. 221 sheet stripping per hours per machine i.e 3534 sheet per day.
3) we would try to work out details by combining failure types ,as suggested.

Not having the daily sheets , I can make no inference about the characterization of the reliability ( distribution type it fits).

I will assume an exponential time to failure and go from there.
