My company is currently at the end of developing our EMS. I am looking for examples of audit forms companies are using for their internal audits. Any help would be appreciated.

There have been a few posted here. Suggest a search, or look in the free files list.

Yup, we've had this conversation before. Searches are a great way to find things here in the Cove...the Search function is towards the top-right corner.

Top-middle has a link to "More Free Files"

And there is always this link (http://elsmar.com/Forums/showthread.php?t=14741&page=2).

Also remember that most registrars have (and usually give you when you select them) checklists. My suggestion is that you look at all available to you (search as said before) and then take the best portions and make them work for you. I see so many checklists that say "Has the organization established, documented, implemented blah blah blah" Who talks like that? you are using it for your own internal audits, make it applicable to your company.:2cents:

Believe it or not, if you use a form that is all that will be audited. here is a good format though.

LOL, Randy, that is the form I usually take (at least for QMS, I'm still a little slow on the EMS)

Check this thread which has a Audit Checklist attached. I also think Sidney attached DnV's checklist, but it was to the older standard.

My problem with this will always be that you are in fact not performing an internal audit!! You are performing an audit that the external auditor will be performing (as in an external Audit of the standard).
This is a check to see if you are ready for your audit I never audit the standard within my company - I leave that up to the External Auditors. An internal audit (IMHO) checks your processes and procedures it does not rely solely on the requirements of a standard.
Now, I realize I am being pedantic but Randy had already taken the response I wanted to put here LOL

Pardner all you did was retrace previous material and supply a gap analysis. :frust:

The internal audit has to be to a greater depth and more detail than what you provided. All you've done is locked the audit into "What is the policy?" and "Do you have a procedure?":yuk:
