Can anyone give me information regarding GIDEP?
Does your company participate and if so, what benefits has it provided to your business?|

Is participation in GIDEP mandatory to do business on Government contracts?

Thanks for all your help, it's greatly appreciated.

Please, do! If anyone utilizes GIDEP, please post with more information.

A few years back, it was stated that GIDEP had one of the best databases of industry calibration procedures available, but you had to have a government contract/ sponsor to get to them. So, I never was able to access them. Is this still accurate, or is there a more open method of accessing the procedures?

GIDEP is - PRIMARILY - but as I understand it, not exclusively, for calibration procedures.

Although procedures from all branches are contained there, and from industry, the program is administered by the Navy's engineering folks.....

I believe the requirement to have a Government contract, or some similar affiliation, is still in place.

I believe is the website, and you should be able to get more info there.

Hopes this helps.

I moved the thread here because the calibration arena is very familiar with GIDEP, and thus some of the questions may obtain more comprehensive answers here.

I belong to GIDEP and find it very useful database. To the best of my knowledge you must be in a business supplying the gov. We here at Edelbrock do not do business directly with the gov, but do supply the auto industry which in turn does business with the government. Hope this helps.
