It is time for me to make a documentation index file for ISO 9001:2001 and my ? is what files do I have to retain and how long. My largest customer is Automotive but we are only tier 2. What are the legal time frames and on what documents? The Quality records are ownly two years old, but they have SO's or Sales orders for ten of fifteen. Any help would be great.

Also, a lot of your retention requirements are going to be customer as far as production records, plus, don't forget to check with your financial officer to make sure that you meet all your corporate requirements.
