Hi Leslie,
I'm not doing the diploma in quality but would be interested to hear if you think it is worth it, as I am considering doing it.
LRQA web site has some case studies here (http://www.lrqa.co.uk/guidance/casestudies/).
There should also be lots you can use in the reading room here (http://elsmar.com/Forums/forumdisplay.php?f=109) in the cove.

Welcome to the Cove, Leslie.
What's a D1? Since I obviously do know what this acronym/abbreviation refers to, I won't be of much help at this point. We do try to explain such shortening-of-words, however, to aid in understanding.

IQA (Institute of Quality Assurance) is sort of a British ASQ. You can see the meaning of "D1" here (http://www.iqa.org/education/h1-2-1.shtml).

In simpler terms the "D1" refers to the specific lesson plan/topic, if I understood the website correctly.
