Hello All,

The company I work for has their triennial ISO9001 audit in a few weeks time and I am currently trying to put together a basic 'ISO9001/What u may be asked in the Audit' type refresher presentation, that i can present to all emplyees prior to the audit, in order to prep them for what will be expected of them during the audit.
I'm just wondering if anyone has got anything similar that i could possibly borrow some ideas from?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Know their jobs and responsibilities.

Understand the effect of the policy on their individual performance and their individual performance upon helping fulfill the committments made in the policy.

Knowledge of "relevent" procedures, WI's, documentation, etc, and "records" if any for their particular jobs.

That's about it. They really only need to know their piece of the puzzle and how they fit in to make it whole.

"Collect the evidence" is the most important things in an audit.

Most of time we will ask the auditee whether they can show us the "evidence" which will compliance to the requirement.

A couple of things I would add:

Answer the question you are asked, don't volunteer more information if the auditor wants to know more he will ask for it

Only say you are planning to do something if you actually have a plan

The auditor is not trying to catch you out

Be honest

May I suggest you look at the "Post Attachment list" available and see if there has been this type of presentation already posted.

Look for "Draft audit brochure" in the post attachment list.
I have attached this brochure to a previous post.
It's about ISO TS 16949 environment but the basic things are the same for ISO 9001.

Lots of success,

Antoine

Let everyone know that it is the system that will be audited, not the person
Have audit evidence available
Make sure corrective actions have been taken - wherever they arise
Make sure your internal communications are working
Relax! - they want you to pass too (they keep getting money that way)

Thanks for those examples. I always make sure people not recite the Quality Policy but can explain what it means to them. Doing it right the first time etc.

Hi Kirk, check the link below, this was helpful for me and you can cut and paste or formulate your own questions..

Look in the upper left hand corner of this page, beside the box with the lighthouse called "Solutions"....It's a thin, green bar.

Here's a list of questions that one DNV auditor asked at every single encounter during our pre-assessment.

Here's a couple that I have used in a large organisation with multiple teams/departments. One was to help out with preparation/clean up items ('Red Book' = each team's Quality Manual), the other to give them an idea of what happens, & what kinds of things auditors may ask.

Yes, everyone's supposed to be up to date on stuff all the time... but sometimes it's a good chance to do a little reminding/waving the flag type stuff.

I've removed the logos for confidentiality, & sorry but the fancy bullets went weird when I upgraded it from an earlier version.
