Dear experts,
I have read in a textbook that to monitor the hospital’s adverse event for anesthesia on a monthly basis, the formula requires the number of adverse occurrences per month(numerator) and the total number of times that anesthesia is administered each month (denominator).
My question is does the numerate means, the number of events that the anesthesia caused site affect to the patient, and does the denominator means , the use of anesthesia during the month?
Many thanks in advance.
