I suspect he is referring to a gap analysis.

My guess is that this refers to the Annex A1 guidance to establish the organization's current position with regard to the environment.

I would support the request from Claes.
If Thinhthang82 could refer to a specific ISO 14001 requirement, we can help rather than speculate.

My guess too - or what we termed as "Baseline Studies" over here.

To apply ISO 14001 :2005.

There is no ISO 14001:2005. The latest revision is ISO 14001:2004.

...assess actuality...

I believe that we are experiencing a slight language barrier at the moment, thinhthang82. There is nothing in ISO 14001:2004 called assessing actuality, which is why there have been a few requests for you to explain what you mean or to provide a clause from ISO 14001:2004. This will perhaps allow us to help you.

Like tyker has said, I too believe that thinhthang82 is referring to A.1 General requirements:
An organization with no existing environmental management system should, initially, establish its current position with regard to the environment by means of a review. The aim of this review should be to consider all environmental aspects of the organization as a basis for establishing the environmental management system.

If this is the case, thinhthang82, your organization should conduct a gap analysis as suggested by chergh. This is, essentially, an internal audit to see what parts of an environmental management system are already established (and there may be some parts that haven't been considered at this point in time...like document control :) ) and to what extent. When you know what parts are missing or need to be worked on, from there you can develop a plan to fully develop your environmental management system.

He's talking Internal Audit and apparently has no hands on with 14K so he's fishing. I've been down this road before. Feed 'em because they won't learn to fish.

I have the same suspicion because his profile says he's a consultant.

Then learn something about what you are going to be paid to do.

Very 1st question, and it's really a hard one. Do you have a copy of ISO 14001?

Second question, and it's difficult too. If you have a copy of ISO 14001, have you read it?

Once you can answer those then it will be time to move on.
