Good day All.
It was in Event of one of our Customers, and the same in it informed them that some Country of the Europe were starting to punish with fines who did not take care of the current law, referring to Metals Heavy Forbidden, by chance has the values that these fines and which are applied Country that already they are applying.

Somebody knows of something ??? :cfingers:

I think you are probably referring to the RoHS directive. This bans the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ether.

The fines depend upon the country which is shipped to. The UK fine is upto £5000. The Ireland fine is upto 15,000,000 Euros.

But system IMDS, was elaborated/created to take care of the segment Automobile, for the conformity of norm ELV 2000/53/EC End of Life Vehicle, for this also applies these penalties ?

In the UK, offences against the ELV directive are punishable by a fine. The severity of the offence determines which level of court will deal with the case.

For a relatively minor offence it can be dealt with in a magistrates court and on summary conviction subject to a fine at level 5 in the standard scale. (I think that's about £20 000 but don't rely on that figure).
A more serious offence will land you in the Crown court where there is no upper limit to the level of the fine.

Rules will be different in other countries.
