Would someone be willing to share a current internal auditor training program applicable to ISO 9001:2000? I've been looking for updated training materials on internal auditor training for ISO 9001:2000 but everything seems to be "old". Maybe I missed something but I did not see anything new.
:thanx:

Well, it depends on what you're looking at!! Some folks believe that auditor training is no different for ISO 9001:2000, than for 1994:notme:
As many previous posts have explained, a 'process approach' is required, Crusader, as you know. It may not be apparent from the materials since (in some people's minds), process = procedure, and they were already teaching auditors to audit procedures.........
However, we'd need to know a bit more about what you were looking at and where too......

Don't waste your time and resources training people to ask "Do you have a procedure?" and "Do you know the policy?"
Focus on the basics of your document control requirements, your records management process, and what your procedures & WI's require when it comes to operational issues, monitoring & measuring, competency and all that stuff. Train them to audit your management system requirements and not the "shall's" that your system already meets.
Emphasize the need to look for and identify PA's (OFI's) which will provide you an opportunity to not fail and the system to not falter.
Train them to AUDIT. To identify evidence, to develop audit trails, to be value added. Training someone to look for the "shall's doesn't add value, it just teaches people to plow the same field time and time again.
