I ahve a gage R & R spreadsheet (attached) which I have verified using Ford's data. The result is incorrect but I cannot find where the error is in the calculations.

Can anyone help

Thanks

Mike,

I looked at the R&R but I think I could use a little help. What do you mean you verified the R&R? Why do you say it is incorrect? Do you mean you get different results to the same data on a Ford R&R?

Rather than checking every cell, it may be easier if you could let us know what was incorrect about the results. I may be missing something but I have to admit I didn't spend too long looking at it. Nothing jumped out at me though.

Only had a couple of seconds, but checking the averages in the 1st sample, appraiser A, I get different results adding with a calculator.

Appologies Dave

I have used the data supplied by Ford (attached) to verify I get the same result. Ford's data states for 'Gauge R&R as a percent of study variation using the Average and Range Method (See Measurement System Analysis Third Edition)' I should obtain a result of 10.28%.
The result I obtain in the spreadsheet is 8.24%

Thanks again

Mike

Fords 10.28 is by Process variation (GR&R), the value by Tolerance (P/T Ratio) is 8.27 which is what your sheet is reporting.

Thanks Martin

Don't know how I missed that one, been looking at the formulas to long I think.
