I have to perform a FMEA for software as a functional approcah of a system FMEA (its an ECU of an inteire system). I´m wondering how can I divide the functions in this case. Would you have an example I could see? :mg:

Divide the ECU system into subsystems. Each subsystem may have one or more modules that control the function(s) of the subsystem.

Yes...I think I understood the theory. Would you have an example? Or more specific material abouf this kind of FMEA?

Go here. Then click on "Handbooks". Scroll down to "NASA Software Satety Guidebook". You can download.
What you are looking for is towards the end of the book.

I forgot, the ISO/WD 26262 part 6 software has a comment or hint about SW-FMEA about architecture level and modul level.
