I need to create a training programme on Total cost of ownership. Wd appreciate any suggestions on what to cover.

Why don't you tell us a little more about your needs, such as what industry you're in and how much your students will be expected to know?

Yes, it's industry specific even though the general principles are quite similar. Attached is a link to google - about 95,000 pages. Choose one that suites you.

The training programme on TCO is to be an awareness level session for engineers in the base metal mining and smelting industry. I will be covering only the basics.
