Click on the link in the original post and proceed to purchase the download (free of charge) , eventually you will be asked for a log in and password. You can then open a link to register as a customer, giving details of your name , company etc... then just proceed with the transaction and download the PDF file. It only takes a few minutes .... hope this helps

No major changes at 9001.
Very good idea for the new 9004!

Yes, isn't it? Huge amount of change - very interesting direction, but I like it a lot. There's been a serious amount of thinking done.

Yes Jane!:agree1:
As you have in all your posts “Intelligent Quality: Practical, simple and flexible”, that's the way ISO 9004 has changed in the new version!
The 2k version was just an amount of good (?) ideas for improvement, some of them were not even possible to do without spending a lot o money.
As a consultant sometimes I told to registered organizations quality managers that if they read ISO 9004, they will find some "ideas" for improve their QMS.
Some weeks later, their answer was always the same – where can we get money to do what’s written there?

Wes R.The ASQ website now states:

We're sorry but the comment period on ISO 9001 and 9004 ended on March 31. The drafts are no longer available.
The documents will be available again for comment at the next stage of development in September 2007 or thereabouts. We'd be happy to contact you when they're ready so you can look at the documents and offer comments at that stage. Simply fill out the form. (http://www.asq.org/draft-standard-request.html)

Thanks much to Sidney and Stijloor for the observant catch.

Again, all, please remember: we cannot/should not distribute copyrighted material here at the Cove. It's illegal, and we do not want anyone at the Cove to get into trouble.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Getting quite frustrated!:frust:

Everytime I go to the link it wants to sell me the draft for $50. Can anyone help and tell me where I'm going wrong?

Cheers Robbie

Hi Robbie,

You did not do anything wrong. For a very limited time it was available for download at no cost to solicit feedback on its contents. Now that limited period has expired and now you have to pay for it like everybody else.

Greetings from the USA.

Stijloor.

Stijloor.Stijloor is correct. The DRAFT (for discussion purposes) of the proposed revision was offered free to interested parties to solicit comments which might be incorporated n the final, approved revision. Since the comment period is long past and the draft is no longer freely available, I am closing this thread.

There may be folks who need to see the interim draft (and therefore should be willing to pay for a copy), but most folks should be content with the knowledge there are NO MAJOR CHANGES proposed which might affect currently compliant QMS (Quality Management Systems.) Accordingly, we can make do with the current approved version until the new one is finally approved and issued.
