I am new to Minitab so please excuse the basic nature of this question. I am trying to understand how Total Variation is calculated. Shouldn't Total Variation simply be Total SS divided by total df? In the R&R Loan example provided to me, Total SS was 1765.79 with 89 df. Total Variation came out to be 25.1465. How was this calculated?
